4. Reports
The Reports area gives you standard financial statements, drill-down explorers, and polished PDF reports you can share with clients. Open it from Modules → Reports.

4.1 Reports Center
The Reports Center is the hub for generating shareable PDFs. From here you can:
- Generate any of the standard dashboard reports as a PDF.
- Open the Report Builder to create and save custom report templates.
- Pick a report theme (cover style) — set the house default in Settings.
4.2 Standard financial statements

4.3 The Explorers (drill-down) 🔍
The P&L Explorer and Balance Sheet Explorer are split-screen, click-to-drill views.

How to use them:
- The left side shows the statement. Click any number (cell) to drill into it.
- The right side fills in with the underlying transactions that make up that figure.
- A chart and KPI panel update to reflect the account you're exploring.
This is the fastest way to answer "what's actually inside this line?" without leaving OML.
Note: If a drill-down cell ever appears unclickable, refresh the page; the explorer rebuilds its drill links on load.
4.4 Generating a PDF report
- Go to the Reports Center.
- Choose the dashboard/report you want and click Generate.
- The report runs in the background. You'll see a status indicator while it builds.
- When ready, download the finished PDF.
Reports use your real QuickBooks numbers and the report theme your Team has selected. Large reports may take a few moments to render — this is normal.
4.5 Report Builder (custom reports) 👤 Admin
Build reusable, custom report templates:

/a/<team-slug>/qbo/reports/builder/ - Create a template, choose what it includes, and save it.
- Saved templates can be generated on demand or deleted when no longer needed.
4.6 General Ledger export
For transaction-level detail, open General Ledger (/qbo/gl/) and use Export to pull
the ledger out (/qbo/gl/export/). Useful for reconciliations and handing detail to other
tools.
